HOW CAN YOU HELP US SUCCEED IN OUR MISSION?

When you give to the Foundation, you can be sure that your money goes to help the children, teachers, and schools we serve. Your donation goes directly back into the schools which shape the lives of the children in our District and enables us to provide educational enhancements that would otherwise not be available.
You can help us succeed in our mission by supporting the Foundation’s programs and fund-raising initiatives.

Planned Gifts

The Foundation is committed to supporting the Mount Vernon School District’s efforts in providing an exceptional educational experience for all students.  In order for the Foundation to provide funds for use in the Mount Vernon Public Schools, your gifts are needed.  The Mount Vernon Public Schools Foundation is actively soliciting gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and other organizations.  Gifts can be made through the Mount Vernon Public Schools Foundation, which is a tax-exempt IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  In most circumstances, donations to the Foundation are tax deductible.

Bequests

An attorney can advise you on the many ways to leave the Foundation a gift while saving estate taxes or providing for a survivor or both.

Gifts in Memory

Pay tribute to someone who valued the work of the Mount Vernon Public Schools during his or her lifetime, or whose life was changed for the better by a teacher or school district employee.  Whichever the case, a memorial gift is a great way to honor someone’s life.  The Mount Vernon Public Schools Foundation will acknowledge your thoughtful gift with a gift card to the family or friend to whom you are honoring.

Gifts in Honor

Deciding what to give someone who has almost everything?  Consider a gift to support the Mount Vernon Public Schools Foundation.  From birthdays to anniversaries to bar mitzvahs, there are many occasions when it might be appropriate to recognize a loved one in this meaningful way.  The Mount Vernon Public Schools Foundation will acknowledge your contribution with a gift card informing the person being honored of your generosity and commitment to the young people of Mount Vernon.
