Volunteer Opportunities
Some of us have more time than money. If you’d like to contribute more than money we would welcome a donation of your time. MVPSF is always in need of volunteer help.
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
Volunteers are also needed to organize activities, seek grants, design projects and programs, raise funds, and raise public awareness.

What Volunteers Do:
- Event Coordinators – coordinating, planning, and supervising Foundations events.
- Reporters – Take notes at Foundation events, write stories, and submit them for publication.
- Photographer – Take pictures at events; work with reporters to submit pictures for publication.
- Writers – Assist in writing and updating various documents, i.e., Annual Report, brochures, forms, and other documents.
- Hospitality – Plan and set up food for various meetings and events. Clean up after event.
- Web Masters – Help support development and maintenance of the Foundations website.
- Speakers – Prepare and deliver speeches at school and community events.
- Fundraisers – Talk to residents and business owners about our goals and agendas.
- Clerical Support – Assist with mailings and telephone activities.
- Accountants – Assist with financial planning, budget preparation, and audit functions.
- Researchers – Assist in seeking out and applying for matching grants; assist in developing community surveys to insure the Foundation is fulfilling its goals.
